Current mood: good

My two cents on floppy films that I have seen recently: *spoilers implied, so don't read if you care to see these*

The Village (2004): it would've been better if there really WERE monsters... the whole heartbreaking "lets-never-get-hurt-again!" theme kind of works, for what it's worth, but was not what I was looking for. I feel it was marketed to me as a horror film, and it definitely did not quench my gorey-thirst.

Red Eye (2005): yeeesh... the only thing that kept me watching was out of boredom and because Rachel McAdams is pretty. But her character was such an annoying "hero"-type person, and I didn't even care enough about the characters to give a shit whether any of them lived or died. Predictably unbelievable, unbelievably predictable, it kinda just sucks....

The Transporter (2002): the transporter is a cheesy dream, unfiltered straight out of the egotistical male mind. I'm not even going to waste any more words on it.

Rosemary's Baby (1968): I had to start this movie 5 different times, mostly because the theme (babies) scared me too much to go on. Yesterday night I even had to sleep with the lights on. But now, after finishing the movie, I realized it's actually kind of cheap. Basically it builds up extremely well to an unsatisfactory ending. It's not too bad of a suspenseful-wondering type of horror film, but just not the kind I like.

It is good to have seen rosemary's baby though just so that you can say you've seen it, and know what people are talking about when they're making references. It wasn't too bad.. just not the kind of film I expected. I really expected a demon baby doing scary things. Hopefully we can find some movies about that.

The transporter 2 is even better, he hits so many ramps and literally flys around in his car. and the chick in the second one runs around with semi-automatic 9mm in her underwear shooting everyone.
